Abagaile Kimbrell and Aidan Russell were named the Spartan Athletes of the Month for September.

Abagaile Kimbrell, Women's Cross Country:

Kimbrell helped guide her team to seventh, second and fourth place overall finishes (first among Division II competitors) in races during the first month of the 2019 season. At the Fordham University Fiasco/Ed Joyce Memorial, Abagaile finished 20th with a time of 20:00.34.

The junior from Monroe, N.Y. then posted a time of 19:42.2, which was good for a 2nd overall finish in New York Institute of Technology Invitational. Finally, Kimbrell finished out the month with a 4th overall finish at the Bard University Fred Pavlich Invitational in a time of 24:09.9.

In recognition of her outstanding work on the race course, Abagaile Kimbrell was tabbed the ECC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week on both September 9th and 16th.
