On Monday afternoon, the Northeast-10 Conference announced their annual Academic All-Conference teams for the fall semester of 2019. Suzanne Clark and Briannah Thorne of the St. Thomas Aquinas College Field Hockey team, playing it's first season within the NE-10, were named recipients of this distinguished honor as a result of their outstanding work on both the playing field and in the classroom.
To be eligible for selection to the NE10 Academic All-Conference teams, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum requirements: started in at least half or played in at least two-thirds of the team's competitions as a significant contributor and achieved a 3.30 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale).

In their first season within the Northeast-10 Conference, the Spartans finished with a 10-10 overall record and a 7-7 mark in conference play. The team participated in the NE-10 Championship Tournament, where they defeated Adelphi University 2-1 in double overtime in the Quarterfinal round for their first-ever postseason victory.
