St. Thomas Aquinas baseball player Mike Russo was named to the Daktronics All American 3rd Team while Matt Marotta and Frank Salerno earned honorable mention recognition. All three were named to the Daktronics All East Region Team as well as 1st team All Conference.
Russo was the ECC Triple Crown Winner leading the conference in batting average, home runs and RBI. Salerno was named the ECC Player of the Year and Marotta was the ECC Pitcher of the Year.
The trio were named to the NCBWA All East Region team as well as the ABCA All East Region Team.
A total of 45 student-athletes, representing 37 institutions were named to either the first, second or third team All-American squad, while 18 were named honorable mentioned.
