The St. Thomas Aquinas baseball team had four players named to the 1st team Daktronics All East Region and two players named to the second team. Joe Antenucci, Matt Marotta, Mike Russo and Frank Salerno earned 1st team recognition while Stanley Susana and George Wargo were named to the 2nd team.
The Spartans finished the regular season with a record of 33-16, earning the ECC regular season title. All four first team selection were also 1st team all conference selections with Marotta also earning Pitcher of the Year and Salerno named the ECC Player of the Year. Stanley Susana was this year ECC Rookie of the Year as the Spartans came away with all of the 2012 major awards this season.
Marotta, Russo, Salerno and Stanley were named to the NCBWA All East Region team while Marotta, Russo and Wargo were named to the ABCA All East Region Team.
