Andrew Jemison of the St. Thomas Aquinas College Baseball team was tabbed the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week following the Spartans week on the diamond, which featured games versus both Felician University and the University of Bridgeport.
Jemison proved immune to his team's offensive struggles for the week, batting .471 on 9-for-19 hitting. The freshman infielder hit safely in all four games, with at least one double in each and three multiple-hit performances. In addition to his .737 slugging percentage, he scored six runs and drove in three as STAC split four games overall.
The Spartans will travel to Bloomsburg on Tuesday, March 26 for a non-conference contest, with first pitch scheduled for 3pm. Then STAC will play a big four game series with ECC foe LIU Post beginning Friday, March 29 on Long Island.
