The St. Thomas Aquinas College Baseball team swept a non-conference doubleheader at Felician University on Saturday afternoon in the Spartans 2021 season opener. STAC earned a 12-6 victory in the opener, before registering a 9-2 seven-inning win in game two.
Brian Donnelly led the Spartan offense with 6 hits and 3 RBI on the day. James Versage, Sean Lynch and Andrew Jemison had 3 hits apiece as well, with Lynch posting 4 RBI, Versage 3 RBI and Danny Di Marzo 3 RBI.
STAC saw Angelo Baez and Aaron Dona both notch wins on the mound. Baez allowed 8 hits and 6 runs (3 earned), 2 walks and fanned five in 7.0 innings in Game 1, while Dona gave up three hits, two runs, one walk and struck out 7 in 6.0 innings in Game 2.
