Spartans Win Tenth Straight with 7-2 Triumph at Mercy

The St. Thomas Aquinas College Baseball team captured its tenth straight victory of the season with 7-2 triumph over Mercy College, in an ECC contest played in Dobbs Ferry, NY on Tuesday afternoon. The Spartans improve to 10-0 overall, with a 4-0 ECC mark, while Mercy now stands at 7-6, 4-3.

Leading the Spartan offense was Andrew Jemison with 2 hits (triple), 2 RBI and a run scored scored and Christopher Conti with 2 hits (home run), an RBI and a run scored. 

On the mound, Aaron Dona posted his second victory of the year, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs (2 earned), while walking 4 and striking out 7 Mavericks over seven innings. Relievers TJ Gregory and James Reilly closed things out for STAC over the final two innings of the game, surrendering only 2 walks and striking out 2.
