Spartan Esports Closes Out 2018 Fall Semester Competition

The Spartan Esports team closed out their 2018 fall semester of competition, falling in two tightly contested Fortnite matches. 

After both teams earned 1st round byes in the Collegiate Starleague qualifier tournament, the duo of Kian Bachinsky and Carlton Thomas got clipped by St. Clair College in a 2-1 contest, while the other Spartan duo of Brendan Madden and Eric Berrios also suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat at the hands of the University of Victoria.
 
With the close of the tournament, St. Thomas Aquinas prepares for a full slate of games in the spring semester, including the second half of the Fortnite season, the first Overwatch contests in program history, and of course the inaugural season of the ECC League of Legends competition.
