The St. Thomas Aquinas College Esports team recently opened their 2020 online gaming season with several high level performances by two Spartan Fortnite squads, competing against other top programs in the ECAC.

Team one, led by Mohammad AliDad, Homayoun AliDad and Matthew Otterstedt currently holds second place in the standings with 162 points and is also ranked second in eliminations with 63. The team has consistently placed in the top 10 each week, including a big first place finish on match day three with 15 eliminations.

Team two, led by Dyson Hardwick and Caleb Franco currently ranks 28th in the ECAC and 25th in eliminations. The team placed in the top 15 and finished second in eliminations with 7 on match day three.

Both Fortnite squads look to continue their success going forward, as the ECAC playoffs approach at the end of November.
