STAC Esports Qualifies for ECAC Postseason Tournaments in NBA 2K21, FIFA 21 and Fortnite

The St. Thomas Aquinas College Esports team recently qualified for multiple ECAC postseason tournaments, including NBA 2K21, FIFA 21 and Fortnite.

STAC's NBA 2K21 squad, led by sophomore Dyson Hardwick, finished regular season play with a 5-3 record and will have a first round bye into the quarterfinals as the number six seed. Dyson will face the three seed from Johnson & Wales University in a Best of Three Series on Tuesday, April 13 at 8pm, with a chance to advance to the semifinal.

In their first season of competition, the Spartans FIFA 21 teams made a run into the ECAC playoffs. STAC finished the regular season ranked fourth in wins with seven between their two squads. Unfortunately, both teams were eliminated after two hard fought postseason series against Finlandia University and Siena Heights University this past week. After an overall successful spring campaign, the Spartans look forward to returning to competition in FIFA this fall.

The STAC Fortnite team has made their way into ECAC postseason play and will get the playoffs started this Thursday night at 8pm. The Battle Royale format will allow teams to collect double points in this week's action and triple point next week, in order to crown a champion with the highest amount of total points. The Spartans currently sit in 24th place and look to make a big jump in the standings with great performances and double and triple point values.
