Spartan Field Hockey Host First Home Game

Spartan Field Hockey Host First Home Game

The St. Thomas Aquinas field hockey team played its first home game of the programs history.  The Spartans fell to Bellarmine University, 3-1.  Carley Davin scored the lone goal for the Spartans, recording her third goal in three games.  Nicole Amerling recorded 5 saves for STAC.

Bellarmine took a 2-0 lead into the half as the Spartans continued to hang around.  Davin's goal came late in the second half but it was not enough as Bellarmine's Kelsey O'Brien scored their third goal to give the visitors a comfy lead.

STAC has almost two weeks before they compete again on October 2nd, when they travel to Kutztown University in PA.
