Spartans Drop Hard Fought Game Against Dowling in Overtime, 4-3

The St. Thomas Aquinas women's field hockey team lost to Dowling College, 4-3 on Saturday afternoon.  In a back and forth game, Katie Reynolds scored a goal late in the second half to force the overtime session.  

Trailing 1-0, Sarah Quarto scored for STAC off an assist from Carly Davin.  Both teams added another first half goal, as Alexsandra Kola scored off another Davin assist, to even the score at 2-2.  Down 3-2 late in the second half, Reynolds came up big for the Spartans with a goal to tie the game and force overtime.  

Dowling's Zoe Norton scored in overtime to give the Golden Lions the win.  Nicole Amerling recroded 10 saves for the Spartans.  STAC will play Lindenwood on Sunday.
