Spartan Field Hockey Finishes First Season

The St. Thomas Aquinas women's field hockey team finished its first season of competition on Saturday afternoon, playing a hard fought game at Dowling.  The Spartans fell 2-1 in overtime, showing the major improvements they have made over the course of the season.

Jacqueline Dowling scored a second half goal to tie the game and force the overtime session.  Nicole Amerling had eight saves for STAC.

Despite picking up just one win for the season the Spartans showed a lot of improvement as the season went on dropping four games by just a single goal.

With just one senior in the lineup STAC will return almost a full roster next season.
