The St. Thomas Aquinas field hockey team lost to Bellarmine University, 5-1 on Friday afternoon. Kaitlyn Gutenberger scored the first goal of the game off an assist from Sarah Quarto.

Gutenberger's goal came in the early minutes of the first half off an open shot from the middle just right of the circle.  The Spartans had four shots on goal to Bellarmine's nineteen.  

Kathryn Schneidtmiller delivered a hat trick for the home team with two goals late in the first half along with an early second half goal.  

Kaitlyn Gee had fourteen saves for the STAC.  The Spartans will play Lindenwood on Sunday also at Bellarmine University.
