The St. Thomas Aquinas field hockey team lost to Mercy College, 1-0 on Tuesday afternoon.  The Spartans had nine shots on goal to the Maverick's four but were unable to capitalize.  Jessica Stewart recorded three saves for the Spartans.

The Maverick's Alicia Williams scored at the 7:33 mark off an assit from Olivia Anderson.  Anderson crossed the ball over to Williams who stuck it in the back of the goal.  Julia Amell recorded nine saves for Mercy College.  The Maverick's move to 2-5 with the win.  

STAC will return to action on Tuesday, October 4th when they host Kutztown University.  Tuesday's game is slated for 4:00 p.m.
