Spartans Drop 8-0 Game at Kutztown

The St. Thomas Aquinas field hockey team lost to Kutztown, 8-0 on Saturday evening.  

The host team was in attack mode from start to finish with 14 shots on goal and capitalizing on more then half.  The Spartans, Kaylee Pistner had one shot for the Spartans that was off the mark.  Suzanne Clarke recorded five saves for the Spartans.  The Golden Bears held a 16-0 advantage in penalty corners and received goals from five different players.  Micaela Beaty, Trinity Ponton and Madison Stewart each scored two goals apiece for Kutztown.  

The young Spartan squad opened their season with two road game and will host SNHU on Monday for the first home contest.  Monday's game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
