Spartans Struggle in Season Opener at Pace

The St. Thomas Aquinas field hockey team lost 6-0 on Thursday afternoon at Pace.  The host dominated early on holding a 15-1 shots on goal margin.  The Setters also held an 11-4 advantage in penalty corners.  

 Arielle Rodriquez had the Spartans shot on goal attempt.  Pace had six different goal scorers and senior Lesley Sanchez Alvarez earned the victory in net.  Suzanee Clarke picked up the loss in goal for the Spartans while recording five saves.  Kaitlyn Gee also shared minutes in goal and recorded four saves.  

The Spartans will return to action on Saturday when they play at Kutztown.  Game time is slated for 5:00 pm.
