The St. Thomas Aquinas field hockey team fell to Assumption College, 6-1 on Saturday afternoon.  Briannah Thorne scored the Spartans only goal of the game off an assist from Taylor Hickey.  

The Greyhounds had a storng advantage in shots with 23 to the Spartans 6.  The home team also lead 8 to 5 in penalty corners.  Sam Tepper and Deirdre Burchill each scored two goals apiece for Assumption.  

Suzanne Clarke recorded six saves for the Spartans.  STAC will return to action next Sunday when they host Mercyhurst.  Game time is slated for noon.
