Spartan Field Hockey Visits American Red Cross

On Saturday, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Field Hockey team took time from their busy early season schedule to assist in relief efforts for those citizens afflicted by both Hurricane Harvey and Irma.

The squad, led by third year Head Coach, Laurie Maynernik, visited the American Red Cross facility in Middletown, NY, where players and coaches alike prepared boxes of donated clothing for shipping to the hardest hit areas of Texas and Florida. The Spartans were joined in their volunteer efforts by the American Red Cross Metro NY chapter and local United Parcel Service (UPS) employees.
