The St. Thomas Aquinas golf team finished in 10th place at the St. John's Invitational in Puerto Rico held at Palmas del Mar Resort.  After an opening round of 304, the Spartans struggled in the second and third rounds posting team scores of 317 both days.  Sophomore Chris Fitzpatrick was the low scorer of the week posting scorers of 72-77-78 for a total of 227 and leaving him tied for 28th out of a solid field of top-notch Division I players.

Senior Pat Schwarze was only three strokes behind Fitzpatrick with scores of 73-78-79 to leave him tied for 38th place.  Brian Viola played well in his first action of the spring with rounds of 76-78-80, good for 46th place.  Sean Campbell struggled in his first action, posting rounds of 83-84-80 while freshman John Casey finished with 86-86-84.
 

The Spartans are back in action this weekend at their 9th annual Spring Invitational held at Rum Pointe Golf Course.
