St. Thomas Aquinas golf coach was named Eaton Golf Pride East Region Coach of the Year announced in early July by the Golf Coaches Association of America.  Ferrara guided the Spartans to a #1 finish at the NCAA Super Regionals and their third consecutive NCAA tournament appearance. 

The Spartans finished in 17th place in the NCAA Championships held at The Shoals Fighting Joe Course in North Alabama.  This was their second best finish in their three appearances.  Ferrara joins golfers John Casey, Chris Fitzpatrick and Mike Gunderson who also received post season awards as they were named to the Ping East Region Team in June.
