The St. Thomas Aquinas golf team is currently ranked #1 in the East Region. The Spartans have finished 3rd in the their most recent tournament the AIC Invitational and 6th in the previous tournament at IUP. John Casey and Chris Fitzpatrick finished tied for 7th in the previous two tournaments respectively.
The Spartans have had three 1st place finishes and two 2nd place finishes this season. Senior Chris Fitzpatrick is ranked 2nd in the region with a scoring average of 74.23. Mike Gunderson is ranked 6th in the region with a scoring average of 76.18 while Thomas Linehan holds the 7th place ranking with an average of 75.90 in 9 tournaments. John Casey has a scoring average of 76.27 and is ranked 13th in the region. Joe Harney has competed in 5 tournaments for STAC finishing with an average score of 77.90.
The Spartans will play in the NCAA Super Regionals in Daniels, WV on the Glade Springs Resort.
