The St. Thomas Aquinas golf team tied for the low score finish at the Goldey-Beacom Invitational this weekend. STAC came up 2nd after the tie breaking playoff behind Nyack College. Mike Gunderson shot 73, 76 as STAC's top finisher while Thomas Linehan shot 78,77. Gunderson finished in 3rd while Linehan was 10th.
Senior John Casey shot the day two, team low score of 75 to help the Spartans stay ahead of the group. Casey finished with a two day score of 155 tying for 13th place. Nick Delango and Jay Barry each shot a two day total of 159 for the Spartans.
Both STAC and Nyack finished with a two-day team score of 614 leading them into a playoff, in which the Warriors came out on top. The Spartans have finished their regular season and will prepare for the Super Regionals at Hershey in May.
