The St. Thomas Aquinas golf team finished in 3rd place in the Howard "Bud" Elwell Fall Classic hosted by Gannon University. Thomas Linehan and Niklas Koerner finished tied for 3rd place with a two day score of 149. The Spartans shot a team score of 613, which was 14 strokes off the leaders, Humber.
Linehan shot rounds of 75, 74 which Koerner shot a first round team low, 73 and came back with a 76 in his second round. The Spartans were tied for the lead after round one as they shot a team score of 303. Christopher Gentle finished among the top 20 posting rounds of 76 and 80.
Kai Rastetter and Anthony Berardo each carded a total score of 162, finishing tied for 42nd place. The Spartans will compete in the Charger Classic on October 7th, hosting by nearby Dominican College.
