Spartans Fall Short at NCAA Regional Despite Their Strong Finish

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's golf team shot their best team score in the final round of the NCAA East/Atlantic DII Regional. Travis Fay and Joseph Tammaro shot team lows of 74 in their final round to guide the Spartans.

Fay missed qualifying as an individual by one spot after finishing in 5th place at 221 and +5 for the event.  Jake Yarmolowitz shot a 75 in his final round and finished the event in 12th place.  

STAC shot a team score of 301 during their final round to finish in 5th place.  The Spartans were among the top five teams over the course of the three rounds but could not close the gap to advance.  The top three teams; Southern New Hampshire, Bentley and Wilmington (DE) will advance to the NCAA National Championship.

Tammaro played his best round on the final day while Shkelqim Kukaj was steady throughout and finished in 36th place.  

The Spartans wrap up another succesful golf season being ranked one of the top five programs in the Northeast.
