Wheeling, W.Va. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Golf team sits tied for third on the leaderboard, following Round One at the NCAA East/Atlantic Super Regional. The Spartans carded a team score of 300 (+16) at the Oglebay Resort: Jones Golf Course in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Junior Djaia Darrason (71/E) led the team for the day and is currently tied for third place among individual golfers. His spectacular play helped the Spartans keep pace with the region's best teams. Teammates Tanner Little 74/+3 (T20), Juan Ignacio Simon 76/+5 (T32), Diego Ocasio 79/+9 (T78) and Nolan Skaggs 82/+11 (T91) rounded out the Spartans scoring.
STAC will tee off at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, May 10th, with the tournament scheduled to conclude on Saturday, May 11.
