Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Golf team has been ranked as the top East Region team in the latest NCAA Division II poll as was announced on Friday.
The committee released its second set of regional rankings for all eight NCAA Division II regions. Teams under consideration in each region were officially listed in numerical order. Eleven teams will battle for the ten available East Region berths.
After concluding the 2024 fall semester finishing first, second, third, fourth and sixth in five events, the Spartans began their 2025 spring season with a fourth place finish at the Ohio Dominican University Pawleys Island Beach Bash.
St. Thomas Aquinas will return to action on March 31 for the two-day Barry University Battle at the Shores, which will take place at the Normandy Shores Golf Club in Miami Beach, Florida.
The Spartans will look to be participants in the NCAA Atlantic/East Super Regional for a 22nd consecutive year, which in 2025 will be held at the Whispering Woods Golf Club in Erie, Pennsylvania, May 8-11.
The top four teams and the top student-athlete not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals May 19-23 at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The National Championship will be hosted by Palm Beach Atlantic University and Palm Beach County Sports Commission.
