LeMoyne Blasts Spartans, 79-49

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's basketball team lost to visiting LeMoyne College, 79-49.  STAC received 16 points from Vincent Johnson who went 4-8 from behind the arc. 

LeMoyne opened the game on a 26-9 run eventually extending their lead to twenty-six as they went into the locker room up 43-17.  Sophomore Ra'Shad James had 8 of STAC's 17 points in the half and finished with 11 points and 2 steals. 

The Spartans played a stronger second half scoring 32 points but could not cut into the lead as the Dolphins shot a strong 59.2 percent from the field going 29-49 and 10-19 from behind the arc.  Christopher Johnson lead all scorers with 22 points draining six from behind the arc.  Damani Corbin and Laurence Ekperigin added 15 and 12 points respectively for LeMoyne. 

The Spartans will be back in action on January 6th when the host Mercy College.
