The St. Thomas Aquinas men's basketball team beat visiting Molloy College, 61-58.  Ra'Shad James and Justin Brown paced the Spartans with 21 points each.  Brown added a game high 8 rebounds and James had 3 assists and 3 steals.

Junior Jamie Blanchard scored a layup with four minutes left in the game to tie the score at 56.  Girard Fits converted on two free throws putting the Lions ahead two before James knocked down one of two free throws making the score, 58-57.  Both teams went scoreless for the next 2 minutes before Blanchard connected on another layup with 1:15 remaining in the game.  Molloy missed their final two field goal attempts and Chad Williams was able to seal the win for STAC by making two free throws giving the Spartans the win. 

Blanchard finished with nine behind 4-7 shooting from the field.  STAC shot 49 percent from the floor to Molloy's 41.2 percent.  Edward Freeman lead the Lions with seventeen points and Kevin Walsh added ten. 

STAC will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Dowling College for a 3 PM game.
