The St. Thomas Aquinas men's basketball team lost to NYIT, 67-55.  STAC was led by Ra'Shad James who had 14 points and 5 assists.  Jamie Blanchard and Justin Brown added 13 and 12 points respectively.  Brown added a team high 5 rebounds.

The Bears opened the game on a 19-5 run behind 7 points from Daniel Berg.  Berg finished with 14 points along with teammate Eric Rodriquez.  James knocked down two free throws to bring STAC within seven before Rodriquez hit a jumper as NYIT took a 34-25 lead into the break. 

NYIT extended their lead to 11 behind a jumper from Carl Kindborgwith 16:11 left on the clock.  The Spartans went on a 7-0 run to get within 4 points, 43-39.  STAC continued their run as Chad Williams drained a three pointer to bring them within one, 47-46.  NYIT responded with a 7-0 run and regained control of the game down the stretch. 

The Bears outrebounded STAC 33-22.  Daniel Skinner added 3 assists and 5 points for the Spartans. 

STAC will return to action as they travel to Molloy on Saturday for a 3 PM game.
