St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Basketball player Demetre Roberts was named the East Coast Conference Player of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans 2-0 week on the court.
Roberts averaged 24.5 points per game in two contests (Jan. 8 vs. University of New Haven: W, 87-72 and Jan. 11 vs. Molloy College: W, 93-67) last week. The sophomore guard from Mount Vernon, NY shot 74.0% (17-for-23) from the field, 67.0% (12-for-18) from three and 75.0% (3-for-4) from the foul line. Demetre also picked up 3 assists and 4 steals for the Spartans.
#15 NABC ranked St. Thomas Aquinas (14-2, 4-0 ECC) will play the remainder of the regular-season in ECC action, traveling to face NYIT in a 7:30 pm start on Wednesday, January 15. They return to Aquinas Hall to take on Queens College on Saturday, January 18, with game time at approximately 3:00 pm as the back end of a double-header featuring the women's teams starting at 1:00.
