St. Thomas Aquinas College Ice Hockey student-athletes Stephen Finkel, Carl Lorenz and Carter Taylor were each named American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 3 Academic All-Americans for the Atlantic Region.
In order to qualify for this prestigious honor, a student-athlete must be at least a junior and have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Stephen Finkel (Jr./Forward/Warwick, NY/Communication Arts) recorded 11 goals and 3 assists (14 points) for the STAC in 19 games during the 2019-2020 season.
Carl Lorenz (Jr./Goalie/Ringwood, NJ/Graphic Design) went 13-7-1, playing in 21 Spartan contests during the 2019-2020 campaign, and posted a 4.11 goals against average and a .906 save percentage.
Carter Taylor (Jr./Forward/Manchester, MD/Sports Management) tallied 7 goals and 7 assists (14 points) in 22 games played for St. Thomas Aquinas during 2019-2020.
St. Thomas Aquinas College closed their 2019-2020 campaign with a 13-8-1 overall record and a 9-3 mark in Metropolitan Collegiate Hockey Conference (MCHC) play. The Spartans were also the MCHC Regular Season Champions and finished ranked #13 in the ACHA Division 3 Atlantic Region.
