Six Spartans Named To 2024 MCHC All-Star Team

Sparkill, N.Y. - The Metropolitian Collegiate Hockey Conference (MCHC) announced on Monday that Noah Barr, Nicholas Delia, Jason Desalvo, Andrew Fenninger, Michael Pippo and William Thyberg will represent St. Thomas Aquinas College at the 2024 MCHC All-Star Game on Sunday, March 3 (5:00 p.m.) at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink in Great Neck, N.Y. 

Noah Barr (Jr.|RW|Staten Island, N.Y.) - Named to the All-Star team for a second straight season, Barr tallied 15 goals and 13 assists for 28 points in 19 games played. The junior winger also had two power play goals and a short-handed goal among his totals.

Nicholas Delia (Fr.|LW/RW|North White Plains, N.Y.) - In his first season with the Spartans, Delia scored 13 goals and added 16 assists for 29 points over 18 games. The freshman winger netted two power play goals.

Jason Desalvo (Fr.|LW|New Rochelle, N.Y.) - The team leader in goals with 19, Desalvo also picked up nine helpers for 28 total points in 19 games played. The freshman winger scored five power play goals in his first season in maroon and gold.

Andrew Fenninger (Fr.|C|New City, N.Y.) - Posted 12 goals, while leading the team in assists with 25 and points with 37 in 19 games. The freshman center racked up two power play goals and a short-handed goal among his tallies.

Michael Pippo (So.|G|New Rochelle, N.Y.) - The team leader in wins with nine, Pippo posted a record of 9-3-1 with a 3.99 goals against average and a .903 save percentage over 13 games played this season.

William Thyberg (So.|D|Suffern, N.Y.) - Named to the All-Star team for a second straight season, Thyberg recorded seven assists, while playing in all 19 games for the Spartans on the blue line. The sophomore defenseman also serves an Alternate Captain.

#2 St. Thomas Aquinas College (10-3-1 MCHC) opens the MCHC Playoffs on Saturday, February 24, taking on #3 Stevens Institute of Technology (9-5-0 MCHC) in the semifinal round. Puck drop between the Spartans and Ducks is set for 3:00 p.m. at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink in Great Neck, New York. The other semifinal matchup features the top seed and undefeated Sacred Heart University (14-0-0) facing off with #4 SUNY Maritime College (8-6-0) at 5:30 p.m.

The winners of both semifinal matchups will battle for the MCHC Championship on Sunday, February 25 (3:30 p.m.), which will also be held at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink in Great Neck, N.Y. 

Tickets for all MCHC Playoff Games will be sold at the door and are $5 per person (Cash Only).
