The St. Thomas Aquinas men's lacrosse team lost to Mercy College, 14-2 on Tuesday afternoon. Joseph Nyemchek and Luke Madry each scored for the Spartans.
The Mavericks got off to a strong start scoring six first quarter goals. Robert Rossi had two goals and one assist for Mercy in the first quarter. The Spartans held the Mavericks to one goal in the second quarter as Rossi scored again for Mercy.
Nyemchek scored off an assist from John LaBella at the five minute mark of the third quarter. Madry followed with his goal at 1:05 in the third off an assist from David Pearl. Ryan Mello had twelve saves for STAC.
The Spartans will return to action on Friday when they host Georgian Court at 3:30 p.m.
