Spartans Drop Hard Fought Game Against Setters, 13-6

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's lacrosse team lost to Pace University, 13-6 on Saturday afternoon. Thomas Hollway had 3 goals and 1 assist for the Spartans

For the first time this season the Spartans were on the scoreboard first off a goal from Kevin Alvora assisted by Luke Madry.  Thomas Hollway added a goal later in the quarter but the Setters held a 3-2 lead heading into the 2nd.  STAC's Joseph Nyemchek scored his first goal of the season bringing the Spartans within two at the half.  

Pace controlled the third quarter scoring the first five goals to take a 10-3 lead.  Hollway added his second goal of the day with 2:37 remaining in the 3rd.  Charlton Phillips added a late goal in the 4th quarter and Hallway added one more making the final score, 13-6.  

The Spartans will play at Mercy College on Tuesday.  Game time is slated for 3:00 p.m.
