Saint Rose Tops Spartans, 12-3

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's lacrosse team lost to Saint Rose, 12-3 on Sunday afternoon.  Kevin Alvora scored two goals for the Spartans while David Pearl added one.  Nicholas Casuccio and Charlton Phillips each added an assist.  Ryan Mello had 16 saves for the Spartans.

Saint Rose dominated the first two quarters, holding a 7-0 lead at the half.  The Spartans put together a strong third quarter; scoring all three of their goals while only giving up three goals.  The Golden Knights had a strong advantage in shots; 46-13 over the Spartans.

Matt Graham and Tom Horan led the way with three goals each for Saint Rose.  The Spartans will play their first home game on Saturday against UDC.  Game time is slated for 2:30 p.m.
