Spartans Use Strong Defensive Effort to Beat Felician, 12-3

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's lacrosse team beat Felician College, 12-3 on Tuesday evening. Tyler Senatore scored 4 goals and added one assist in the win. Ryan Mello had 3 saves in 43 minutes of action in goal.

The Spartans dominated right from the start outscoring the Falcons 4-0 in the first quarter.  Senatore scored two goals in the early action along with Kevin Alvora and Brenton Mighty. Senatore scored his third goal of the game in the second quarter shortly before Felician's Mike Guaragno put the home team on the scoreboard, 5-1.  

Briele Caples started off the scoring in the second half with his only goal for the game.  The senior provided five assists in the Spartan attack.  STAC outscored Felician 7-2 in the second half.  The Spartans had six different goal scorers with  Alvora, Mighty and Paul Rhodes each contributing two and Joseph Nyemchek had one.  

STAC had a strong advantage with 34 shots to Felician's 18.  Ryan Guild saw action in goal for the Spartans, recording one save.  STAC will return to action on Saturday, March 24th when they host cross town rival Dominican College for a 1:00 pm start.
