Bears Beat Spartans, 15-6

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's lacrosse team fell to NYIT, 15-6 on Wednesday afternoon. Tyler Senatore had four goals for the Spartans.

The Spartan defense came out strong holding the guest to just one goal in the first quarter.  The Bears turned up the attack scoring six second quarter goals and taking a 7-0 lead into half time.  

Kevin Alvora and Briele Caples scored the first two goals to start the second half while the Spartans played even for the third quarter.  Senatore added two of his goals in the third while Dewrail Rockett, Jr. and Joseph Nyemchek each added an assist.  

Senatore added the only two goals for the Spartans in the fourth quarter as the Bears secured the win by added four more goals.  LeRoy Halftown scored four goals and added an assist for the Bears while Matt Murphy had three goals and four assists.  

Ryan Mello had fourteen saves for the Spartans.  The Bears had 52 shots to the Spartans 21.  STAC will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to LIU Post for an 11:00 a.m. game.
