The St. Thomas Aquinas men's lacrosse team beat Post University, 9-4 on Wednesday afternoon. Brenton Mighty and Tyler Senatore scored three goals each. Ryan Mello recorded 16 saves in the win.

Tied 1-1 after the first quarter, the Spartans came on strong during the 2nd quarter outscoring the visitors, 4-2 to take a 5-3 lead into the break.  Mighty and Senatore each scored two first half goals while Anthony Irizarry also added a goal for the Spartans.  

The Spartans dominated the second half, scoring four goals to Post's one.  Luke Broderick scored back to back goals for the Spartans in the fourth quarter.  STAC had a 38-33 edge over Post in shots and won 10 out of 17 face off attempts.  

The Spartans will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Chestnut Hill for a noon game.
