Men's Lacrosse Falls at Wilmington (DE), 14-9

The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Lacrosse team dropped a 14-9 road decision at Wilmington University (DE) on Saturday afternoon in Newark Delaware.

Tyler Senatore scored three times for the Spartans and added a helper, while Luke Broderick tallied two goals and an assist and Anthony Irizarry lit the lamp twice himself. Thomas Chiapperino (1 goal & 2 assists) and Timothy Zimnoch (1 goal) also provided scoring for the STAC offense, while Ryan Guild (L, 2-4) got the start in net for St. Thomas Aquinas College and made 19 saves on the day.

Wilmington's scoring was led by Logan Stinson with four goals and two assists, followed up by Giovanni Marino with two goals. Keeshawn Bell (1 goal), Jared Wagenhoffer (1 goal), Dalton Ziemba (1 goal & 1 assist), Jacob Herman (1 goal & 3 assists), Anton Mackey (1 goal), Noah Tuoney (1 goal), Joshua Leavery (1 goal) and Noah Brock (1 goal) also contributed to the somewhat balanced scoring for the Wildcats. Goalie Noah Given got nod in the cage and stopped 10 of 19 shots faced to pick up his fifth win of the season (5-0).

Shots for the game were 54 (33 on goal) for Wilmington and 25 (19 on goal) for STAC.

St. Thomas Aquinas College (2-4) returns to action next Saturday, March 14th, as the Spartans open their ECC schedule against the University of the District of Columbia. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 2:30pm
