St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Soccer forward Jorge Umana Mazariego has been named the ECC Rookie of the Week on Monday afternoon, following the Spartans regular season finale last Saturday afternoon, a 6-1 triumph over Daemen College.
Umana Mazariego, the freshman from Orangeburg, NY, scored 2 goals for St. Thomas Aquinas. Jorge finished the 2019 season with 7 goals and 2 assists for 16 points in 16 games played.
The Spartans wrapped up their 2019 campaign, going 4-11-1 and 3-5 in the ECC.
