St. Thomas Aquinas College tennis player Andreu Ferragut was named the East Coast Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans match against Stonehill College on Sunday afternoon.
In the Spartans second match of the spring, Ferragut, the native of Palma de Mallorca, Spain, paired up with Paul Voigt to win their third flight doubles match, 8-5 against Stonehill. Andreu then won the No. 2 flight singles match over Trent Newman, 6-2, 7-5.
The 4-3 Spartans are currently ranked sixth in the East Region by the ITA, and play host to Le Moyne College on Wednesday, March 7th at the Riley Family Tennis Courts, with first service scheduled for 1pm.
