St. Thomas Aquinas College tennis player Jakob Ljungberg was named the East Coast Conference Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans match against Millersville University on Sunday afternoon in Orlando, Florida.
In the Spartans' win over Millersville, Ljungberg won 7-5, 7-5 in the No. 1 flight singles matches and paired up with Luke Taplin for an 8-6 doubles win at the No. 3 position.
The 5-3 Spartans continue their Sunshine State Spring Break tour as they take on Bloomsburg University on Monday, March 12th, followed by Eckerd College on Tuesday, March 13th.
