St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Tennis player Tony Khamassi was recognized by the East Coast Conference with Rookie of the Week honors on Monday, after the Spartans 2-0 week on the court, with victories over the College of Staten Island and Stone Hill College to open the spring season.
Khamassi went undefeated (2-0) in singles play last week. He topped Marc Kay of Staten Island (6-0, 6-2) and Ben Simmons of Stonehill (6-4, 6-2).
St. Thomas Aquinas College (5-0) is next in action on Thursday, March 5th as they host Chestnut Hill College in a matchup of regionally-ranked squads. First serve is set for 12:00 PM at Washington Township Tennis and Fitness Club.
