The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team lost to Caldwell College, 6-1 and 14-2.  Kelcy McGeehan scored all of the Spartans runs for the day.

McGeehan went 1-for-3 scoring the Spartans only run in the first game.  Melissa Sadler went 2-for-3 driving home McGeehan in the 2nd inning.  

The Cougars used a five run 5th inning highlighted by a 2-run home run from Marisa Monaserri. Monaserri went 2-for-2 as the Cougars had 10 hits to the Spartans 6.  Julie Sosnicki had two strikeouts in the loss.

In game two, McGeehan went 3-for-3 scoring both of the Spartans runs for the game.  Amanda Leone and Caitlyn Francoeur each had an RBI.  The Spartans had six hits to the Cougars fourteen and left three stranded.  Colleen Borum had 4 strikeouts in the loss.  

The Spartans will return to action on Monday when they travel to Felician University for a 2:30 double header.
