Former STAC Softball Star Sosnicki Named to Spartan Coaching Staff

St. Thomas Aquinas College Softball Head Coach Kristen Sullivan today announced the hiring of Assistant Coach Julie Sosnicki, a former standout player at the college.

Sosnicki is one of the program’s most accomplished pitchers in recent years and finished her four-year career at STAC (2014-2017) with several college records. Her 97 strikeouts in her senior season is the third highest single-season tally in program history and she ranks fourth and fifth, respectively, in career and single-season complete games. Sosnicki was also the author of one of the program’s 14 no-hitters in 2015.

“Julie had a very successful career here at STAC and possesses a great passion for the game of softball,” said Sullivan. “She will work closely with the pitchers and assist me in a wide variety of ways. Julie’s extensive experience in coaching and teaching makes her a terrific addition to our program.”

Sosnicki comes to STAC from Hardball NY in Elmsford, N.Y. where she had served as Director of Softball Operations since September, 2017. In that role, she developed, implemented and promoted the organization’s softball program, clinics, teams and lessons. Prior to that, she worked at All Starz Professional Softball and Baseball Instruction in Lodi, N.J. She graduated from STAC in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.

Julie is currently the Assistant Office Manager at Valentine Electric in nearby Blauvelt, N.Y.
