Raposo, Clancy & Marcano Take Home D2CCA All-East Region Softball Honors

Sparkill, N.Y. - A trio of St. Thomas Aquinas College softball players have earned Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-East Region selections, as Eliana Raposo (Wareham, Mass.), Sarah Clancy (Chino Hills, Calif.) and Elyse Marcano (Middletown, N.Y.) each received recognition on Monday.

Raposo was named to the first team, while both Clancy and Marcano took home second team accolades.

Raposo, the ECC Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference pick, delivered a stellar final season for the maroon and gold, leading her team in batting average (.396), slugging percentage (.734), hits (67), home runs (14), doubles (15), RBI (49) and runs scored (52), while hitting in near the top of the batting order. She became the first STAC player in program history to win the conference's Player of the Year award twice and set new single-season records for homers and runs scored.

Clancy, who won the Pitcher of the Year in 2024, was named the league's Co-Pitcher of the Year and a First Team All-Conference selection this season. She closed an outstanding career in the circle with a 18-13 overall record with a 3.16 ERA and 121 strikeouts. As the game one starter for most of the Spartans' doubleheaders this campaign, Clancy led pitching staff in appearances (31), wins (18), complete games (22), shutouts (6) innings pitched (184.0), opponent batting average against (.247) and Ks (121).

Marcano took home her third straight ECC All-Conference first team kudos in 2025, while setting new program single-season (27) and career marks (56) in stolen bases. She helped to pace STAC's offensive production in many categories, including triples (3), while hitting in the leadoff spot. Her speed, situational awareness were also always on display, as Marcano swiped 27 of 27 bases this season.
