Spartans Close Out 2018 Road Schedule, Falling to Chestnut Hill 48-6

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. -- The St. Thomas Aquinas College sprint football dropped a 48-6 contest Friday night to host Chestnut Hill, in a game played at A.A. Garthwaite Stadium.

The visiting Spartans (2-3) got onto the scoreboard with 2:57 remaining in the fourth quarter, when freshman quarterback Kiel McKenzie threw the first touchdown pass of his career -- a 73-yarder -- to classmate Matthew Ehret (3 rec., 96 yds.).
 
McKenzie (5-for-8, 94 yds.; 7 rushes, 39 yds.) and senior Luke Sullivan (11-for-27) combined for 178 yards in the air for STAC, while defensively, Kyle Teneyck and Michael Kehoe made seven stops apiece. Eric Berrios and Ali Ajaz each had 1.0 tackle for loss, while William Harris recovered one fumble.
 
Head coach Matt Barry's Spartans wrap up their inaugural season at Torne Valley Sports Complex next Friday at 6 p.m., when they play host to Mansfield University.
