St. Thomas Aquinas College's St. Jacob Diodonet and Rickssen Opont were named the East Coast Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week respectively on Monday, after the Spartans competed at Boston University Terrier Classic last Friday and Saturday in Boston, Massachusetts. 

On the season, Diodonet has now received this weekly conference honor on three occasions (12/3, 1/14 & 1/28), while Opont has taken it home twice (1/14 & 1/28).

At the track, Saint broke a school record and also set an ECC season-high in the 500 Meter Dash this past weekend in Boston with a time of 1:05.06. He finished in fifth place overall (first among Division II athletes). 

Meanwhile in the cage, Rickssen competed in a stacked field in the Shot Put, where he took fifth overall at the Terrier Classic (first among Division II athletes) with a toss of 15.92m (52.23ft).
