St. Thomas Aquinas College's Dante Brown was named the East Coast Conference Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week on Monday, after the Spartans competed in the University of Albany Winter Classic this past Friday at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island.
Brown (Jr. - Nyack, N.Y.) hit an NCAA Provisional mark with his leap of 7.39m (24'3") to win the Long Jump event at the UAlbany Winter Classic. The distance was also good for an ECC-season best.
The Spartans return to action on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14th), when they take part in the Fastrack National Invitational. The event will be held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, NY.
